Spreading the ✌: January Edition

This year my focus is to give more than I take.

Piece of Mind Puzzles was inspired by the challenges I faced during my quarter life crisis and my ultimate goal was to support others who are feeling “stuck” and are in need a little boost of inspiration. With my project finally out, I want to continue expanding my vision and make this a place where young adults and fellow creatives can seek inspiration from not just my puzzles but from other sources too.

Starting this year I will be connecting with artists and brands that have made an impact on me and sharing their stories. Each month I’ll be posting a new feature (and maybe even a surprise giveaway) to spread awareness and peace of mind. ✌

January 2018 - Passion Planner

This month we’re kicking off the year with a very special feature of a California native brand that is absolutely killing it - Passion Planner.

With the start of the new year, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to share an amazing tool that will help you stay organized with your busy schedule. This planner also gives you plenty of room to set weekly, monthly, and annual goals, and a compilation of inspirational quotes to keep you motivated each week.

I was first introduced to Passion Planner last February when I was asked to participate in their #LoveStartsWithMe campaign to inspire self-care and self-love. I did a little doodle for them with the quote “Loving yourself is the greatest revolution” in exchange for a free planner.

As a letterer, I love the physical act of writing with traditional pen and paper. With so many well-integrated calendar apps out there, it’s definitely convenient to plan out my schedule online. But what I like to do with my Passion Planner is to use it as space for reflecting and setting goals.

I enjoy taking note on the remarkable conversations I had over the week, and having a place to look back to at a later time. When you’re in the moment, it’s so easy to say a certain encounter was “unforgettable” but with so much going on in our lives, the honest truth is you’ll most likely forget about it in a month or two. By making a conscious effort to reflect before heading to bed, I’ve come to appreciate the little things in life SO much more. I made sure to get my hands on another planner this year and I’ve already used it extensively to write out my 2017 reflection as well as my day to day thoughts.

Passion Planner was founded by an incredibly inspiring and badass, first generation Asian-American, fellow Bruin, female entrepreneur, Angelia Trinidad. Angelia started this project four years ago in her garage, hoping to create a planner that could help her fellow peers that were feeling stuck, directionless, and uncertain on what to do after college. Now she has an entire team working under her to help young adults define their goals and over 278k users following her beautifully curated Instagram account. She IS the definition of #goals and I admire her courage and ability to build such a successful empire.

I want to help people pursue their passions; to pursue things that make them excited to get up everyday, because when you follow your passion you never have to work a day in your life.” -Angelia Trinidad
